The Bible Study Night

By Dolly | Jun 17, 2008

cloud nightOn the night of the Bible study, it was raining and the lush green trees outside of Todd and Elissa’s house grabbed my attention. As I made my way to the entrance, I stood there for few seconds just to enjoy the cool wet greenery.

When I entered their house, there was a pleasant aroma of food that Elissa had cooked. I couldn’t wait to eat; there is something about the rainy weather makes you hungrier. When we started to eat, the food was just delicious. I smiled inside thinking, “is this party because of my new car?”

The Bible study started, one by one everyone read scriptures from the Bible. In the middle of this study, a girl went into the kitchen and made a cake. I thought, “I wonder how it will taste, I want to eat the cake.” Read more »

My Love

By Dolly | Jun 14, 2008

November 14, 2005

When he asks me a question, I without replying ask him a question. He then will reply to my question without worrying about what he asked.
When he will do anything for me just to make me happy and he will smile a little.
Even when he is not feeling well, he will ask me about how I am doing?
He prays for me without me asking for a prayer.
He tells me that he can’t bear seeing tears in my eyes.
When I tell him about my dreams, he adds on and makes them more precious.
Sometimes, when I sit alone, thinking about him gives me joy that makes me cry.
He will drive even when he doesn’t feel like it because he knows how much I don’t like driving.
He never lets me think about “what all he did for me” instead he cherishes the little things I do for him.
He does everything to make me feel as special as a queen.
In tough times, he reminds me of God’s promises and that everything will be all right.

Likewise, in the child scenario, where the child goes and tells the person in question, which creates an uneasy feeling that leaves one silent.

Personally, when I am talking to friends, every now and then I blurt things out and barely notice what I have said. It is not that my friends wouldn’t like me after this incident; it is more a sense of nervousness and embarrassment. Read more »
