A Place I Have Lived

By Dolly | Jun 5, 2008

I have lived in several different places, but there is one small town that holds a special place in my heart, which is in India. It was wonderful to watch the passing of the four seasons in the little city where I grew up.

I especially enjoyed the interesting people who I remember as being so nice and wearing colorful clothing. My favorite of those people was my grandfather. Every evening as he would come to visit us, we could always find something in his pockets as he held us to love on us.

I still remember how my friends and I used to play in the evenings. There were times we made fun of each other. At that time, this teasing must have sounded terrible, but now in my memory it seems fun and full of happiness.

Writing at Bedtime

By Dolly | Jun 4, 2008

I enjoy writing at night on my bed. It is because at this time there is silence everywhere. I use pen and paper to do my writing since I feel more comfortable with my thoughts than using a computer.

Depending on my thinking, sometimes I think slowly as things are very hard to put into words. There are times when I didn’t write anything in proper order because I had no idea how to put sentences together correctly.

As I progress, I understand that I will improve by writing more and more.

Myself as a Writer

Several thoughts come to mind when I describe my strengths and weaknesses as a writer:

First of all, whenever I write I know when the writing is great or just ordinary. It requires more effort when I try to write great. It takes a great deal of time because my mind is not focused.

On the other hand, I just write because I want to write the words in my thoughts. However, you can write whatever is on your mind and the things you want to express deeply.

Writing helps me express my feelings and faith to everyone around me. When I feel stressed or in a sad mood I want to write because I can express what I am feeling. Writing in effect brings out my emotions, providing a release of negative energy.

Some people run, some play, I write to describe life in different ways.
