Job from Bible

“And the Lord turned the captivity

of Job, ………So the lord blessed

the latter end of Job more than

his beginning:…………So Job

died, being old and full of days.”

Job

In this passage we see how God blessed Job more than he had from the inception of his life. The Lord blessed every inch of Job’s life.

It is hard to have faith in God when we are in our tough times, yet so easy when everything is running smoothly. Just imagine how God would feel when we fully depend on him even in our struggles.

“If God is with me then who can be against me?” I often think of this scripture when things are not exactly how I thought they would be. The creator of the world is on my side no matter what happens. At the end, I will be the victorious one just like Job.

Even Job’s wife asked him to “curse God and die”, but Job clung to his faith in God. His faith went to work for him, and God turned everything around for Job. I would rather put my faith in God as well because people will change, but God is the same as yesterday, today, and forever. When we go through struggles, it builds character and builds up our “faith muscles” in God.

Even if Job had cursed God, God would not have struck him in anger, because God is merciful and His love everlasting. God knew where Job’s faith was, and Job was able to go thru the trials and tribulations that Satan brought on him.

God would not give us something we can’t handle, and when things get hard he won’t just walk away- just like when a mother watches her child learning to walk. Every time the child falls, she helps him up, and when the child finally learns to walk, the mother’s eyes and heart are full of joy.

Thanks for the reminder. I am going through a similar situation but not as bad as Job. I am glad Jesus knows how much I can handle.

Hey, you know what I wonder? Was God and Satan playing a card game and God laid out his best card as “Job”, by the way I am a believer, however I like to question everything. Just like Steven did in Bible when he said, “I don’t believe it until I see it” and Jesus showed his hands still with holes from the nails. Good writing though!
